The Treasurer's office functions as the financial office of the district. This department is responsible for maintaining district budgets and providing forecasting tools and data to help the Administration and Board of Education make decisons.
On a daily basis the work of the Treasurer's Office is to process payroll for the district's 300+ employees, prepare employment contracts, maintain employee attendance files, pay the operating expenses of the district, maintain department budgets, keep a fixed asset inventory of the district's assets, as well as serve as the secretary of the Board of Education's records.
Office hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with other times available by appointment.
Safekeeping of the Minute Record of the Board of Education is an important duty of this office. The Minute Record is an historical record of the district as well as sets the policies of the Board for district direction. To view past board minutes Click Here!
Biographical Information
Carol Corbett has served as Crestwood's Treasurer since 1983 and is a graduate of Crestwood High School. She went on to the Honors College at Kent State University and earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from KSU majoring in accounting and minoring in computer science. After college she worked 5 years for the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. in the Cleveland, Ohio office followed by another 10 years in private industry as Budget Analyst at Morse Controls, Hudson, Ohio and Director, Corporate Accounting at Barmet Industries, Inc. in Akron. Other part-time public service was 2 years with the Village of Mantua as its Tax Administrator.
Carol has lived in the district for most of her life and raised 2 daughters who also graduated from Crestwood Schools. She is happy to serve in a district that provides a quality education and a safe environment in which to raise your family.
