Welcome to Crestwood Primary School which serves 435 students from preschool through second grade. My name is Mrs. Beth Trivelli and I am proud to be the principal of Crestwood Primary School. I am honored to have the opportunity to help impact the lives of your children. I have been an early childhood educator for the last twenty-five years. The past eleven years I have been a coordinator for staff development and a teacher in the Kent City Schools. I was one of the first National Board Certified teachers in the state of Ohio. I have a special education degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a masters in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University. I earned my EdS. in Educational Administration from Kent State University in 2009. I am also an adjunct professor for Kent State University in Early Childhood Education.
The mission of Crestwood Local Schools is to help students identify, nurture, and maximize their unique talents, abilities, and skills as they prepare to become successful and productive members of the twenty-first century. At Crestwood Primary School student success is our top priority. The staff works collaboratively to ensure that each and every child feels safe, challenged and valued. The Crestwood Primary School staff also believes in the importance of family and community partnerships to instill the values of the community which include honesty, integrity, and accountability.
We are proud to be your child's first school on their educational journey! Our school operates an integrated pre-school program as well as kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. We offer vocal music, physical education, art education, title reading program, reading one to one and math tutoring. We have an outstanding parent teacher organization that helps support our school programs. Our school also has a part time guidance counselor who assists our students on a daily basis.
I look forward to helping each child to be successful every day to reach all educational goals.
